The president of Club Reforma Mr. Carlos Vallejo and the ambassador of India Mr. Shri Manpreet Vohra inaugurated the new turf wicket of the Mexican Cricket Association in Club Reforma, the home of Mexican cricket, last Saturday, December 14.
Later, a friendly match was held between a team chosen by the president of the Mexico Cricket Association, Mr. Ben Owen, and a team chosen by the men's national captain, Mr. Tarun Sharma. Scorecard here
The Reforma Athletic Club has the second highest international wicket turf in the world and has world class cricket facilities, including two nets and a pavilion.
We thank the Reforma Club for giving us a house, for their support in installing the new turf wicket and for their constant support for cricket in Mexico.
We are excited to work with the Reforma Club hand in hand in the next decade and beyond in the development of Mexican cricket.
We are in exciting times for Mexican cricket. Now we have organized cricket in Mexico City and the states of Jalisco, Nuevo León, Queretaro and soon we become the Mexican Cricket Federation. Together with the Reforma Club we continue our strong growth and make cricket a popular sport in Mexico.
